Welcome

Welcome to South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and thank you for your interest in these exciting and important roles.

We are one of the best performing and most innovative organisations in the NHS.  We are a major employer within our local area and a key system leader within the health and social care system that serves our communities.

The Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications role requires an individual with significant gravitas and energy, with substantial experience of working at, or close to, board level.  The role demands exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to support the development of effective communication strategies across multiple stakeholders for the Trust and develop a culture of engagement and promotion. The role has a wide remit, and while you do not need prior NHS experience, you will have an appreciation and interest in the context in which we operate and of good governance, and – above all – an alignment to our values and to the ethos of the NHS.

We are a ground- breaking and progressive organisation, always keen to develop our ideas and thinking.  We hope this website offers you some insights into who we are and what we do.

Please feel free to contact Robin Staveley or Michelle Atkinson of GatenbySanderson on 0113 205 6097 in the first instance to discuss this role further.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Siobhan McArdle
Chief Executive and transformation director
