Description

We are one the largest Trusts in the North East of England with a workforce of almost 10,000.  We provide community, acute and tertiary services to 1.5 million people in the Tees Valley, North Yorkshire and beyond, with a particular expertise in heart disease, trauma, neurosciences, renal services, cancer services and spinal injuries. We are a Regional Major Trauma Centre.

We are now seeking to appoint two new Non-Executive Directors.

Non-Executive Directors play an important role in monitoring strategy, performance, risk, people management and local accountability.  They share responsibility with other Board Directors for the success of the organisation and the duties of the Board, providing an informed independent and objective challenge to the work of the Executive Directors within an overall framework of guidance, support, trust and mutual respect.  We are seeking individuals who bring senior leadership experience from complex organisations and a background in finance or IT. 

You do not need prior experience of the NHS.  Whether your background is in the private, public or voluntary sector, it is the added value of your professional and your lived experience that we are interested in.
